About Us
The Treasure Coast Hunting
and Fishing Club offers the finest quail hunting anywhere in Southern Florida.
But there is so much more: Pheasant, chucker, pig hunting, duck hunting, trap
field, bass fishing, flats boat fishing on the Indian River Lagoon for snook,
redfish, spotted sea trout, and deep sea fishing. We are committed to an excellent
sporting experience for our members and guests.
The Treasure Coast Club is owned and operated by Bill Jacobs. Bill has a long
resume as a club owner, guide, top-notch dog trainer, author, inventor, and
sportsman. He has been guiding hunts since 1966. Has owned and trained two
national NSTRA (National Shoot To Retrieve Association) champions and has
been an NSTRA judge. He was the past president of the Southeast Michigan Bird
Dog Club.
While wintering in Florida in the mid 90s’, Bill begin working with
the Bonnette Hunt Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Fl. “Bonnette’s”,
founded by William Bonnette in the late 50s’, was one of the most prodigious
clubs in America. In 1996, Bill opened his own club, The Palm Beach Hunting
& Fishing Club, in Martin County, just north of Palm Beach, Florida.
With development encroaching on the Bonnette club’s location, the two
clubs merged to form the Treasure Coast Hunting & Fishing Club in 1999
in Palm City, Florida. The Bonnette Lodge is still open for monthly barbeques,
parties and events. Bill and his wife Jody were married at the Bonnette Lodge
in 1999.
The Treasure Coast club features 6 separate hunting fields on beautiful South
Florida ranch land. There are 10 guides with over 100 years of experience
between them. Our dogs are world class. Bill’s specialty is training
pointing dogs and he is one of the best trainers in the country. His experience
really shows in how the dogs handle on a hunt. Many members and guests bring
their own dogs for their hunt.
In Field Hunting System: Bill Jacobs wrote the book on high quality quail hunting. (click here) Our members hunt all over the country and for that matter, much of the world. They tell us, “We come to the Treasure Coast Club because the quail hunting is the best!”
Using the “In Field Hunting System”, “wild coveys”
of quail are formed from pen-raised birds. When released in the fields, these
quail behave like wild coveys. The result is exciting, action packed, “wild
covey” quail shooting.
The “In Field System”, with Johnny House plans and compete “How To” is available here.
Members of Quail Unlimited, founder of the Martin County chapter of Ducks
Unlimited, NAGA (North American Game Bird Breeders Association). Featured
in Covey Rise and North American Hunter Magazines.
Bill is currently working on a training video for bird and small game hunter’s
safety. He is also working on a video on training basics for household pets.
The Treasure Coast Hunting & Fishing Club has the hunting experience you are looking for!
